The Wedding
The model Barbara Palvin and Dylan Sprouse fulfilled their engagement in the fields of Hungary on July 15. It was a truly romantic party, beautiful and meaningful to everyone who attended. Even for those of us who saw it on social media, as this couple is one of the strongest in the industry, and they have spent many years together.
“Our wedding was supposed to be a very intimate event,” Barbara says. “But we ended up having 115 guests because there are so many people we care about, and we wanted them to be there.”
Barbara and Dylan first saw each other approximately six years ago. After a little chat and flirting, it all ended there. They didn’t exchange numbers that time. However, by then, Dylan’s curiosity towards her had kicked in. Thus began this beautiful love story.
After the event in which they met, her now husband decided to DM her on Instagram. Sadly, she ghosted him for six long months!
But this does not end here. Eventually, Barbara fell for his charms and responded to his messages. It wasn’t until three months later that she traveled to China to see Dylan, who was on set then, and they went on their first date.
They got engaged in September 2022 on a camping trip.
For her wedding, Barbara considered several pieces for her wardrobe, wanting to wear elegant and timeless pieces.
The Outfit
As we mentioned earlier, the bride carefully thought about the clothes she wanted to wear for her special day.
First Dress
The garments had to be classic. Something comfortable, too, that would allow her to dance and have a good time. Apparently, she was very inspired by a romantic style.
Vivienne Westwood was her starting point for putting together her elegant outfits, which she would wear to the ceremony. Eventually, the designer whipped up a custom-made strapless gown just for her.
The dress was dreamy. It would be the one she was going to wear during the ceremony. This designer is known for her unique, well-made, elegant, tailor-made work by everyone.
Although Westwood was considered the mother of punk thanks to her biker and leather designs, with an alternative style, she made an exception with Barbara and stepped out of her comfort zone to make her beautiful dress.
Unfortunately, the designer passed away in December 2022.
Accessories
For the wedding day, the model wore jewelry by Tiffany & Co. The company created a 90s-style choker, which perfectly complemented the dress. It was, without a doubt, the best choice for her.
Second and Third Dress
Barbara’s second dress after the ceremony couldn’t be more elegant and classic. It had to be comfortable, too, but without losing the glamour. She wanted a dress that felt young and fun but could also dance the night away in.
To that end, she chose a short, cross-back dress designed by Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini. “It was the best option,” said the model. This garment made her feel like a modern princess.
In addition, there is also an important tradition, coming from Hungary, where the bride must wear a red dress after midnight, called menyescke ruha. And, of course, she had to choose a Hungarian designer for this occasion. So, she chose Mero. They created the dress of her dreams. Sexy, sweet, but also comfortable and full of elegance. “Just what I wanted,” said Barbara Palvin.
Shoes
Shoes are an essential complement to an outfit; they are that final touch that ties it all together, and if you know how to combine them, they will be a total success.
And the best footwear could not be missing: Jimmy Choo. Barbara Palvin prepared all her looks, considering complementing them with shoes from this brand.
With her service of preparing custom designs, the result was several pairs matching her multiple dresses, with a “D hearts B” on one sole and the ceremony date on the other.
Bridesmaids
While Barbara shone with all her looks like a princess, all the bridesmaids wore dresses in pastel shades. All the details were very well taken care of. She decided to go fora whole color palette instead of just one. So that everyone had the opportunity to express themselves through their outfits, of course within the wedding theme.
Her biggest goal was to make everyone feel comfortable. She picked a few relatives to be the flower girls while all the men and groomsmen looked terrific in their all-black suits.
Dylan, for his part, wanted a fairly traditional tuxedo, and he wore Canali. “And I made sure to shave,” he jokingly commented.
The couple exchanged their vows at Albertirsa Church, where Barbara’s own parents were married 34 years ago. Subsequently, they proceeded with the civil ceremony, which took place on a small island, part of the properties of Palvin’s parents.
The weather was perfect, with a cool breeze. It was the ideal day for them, from the outfits to the weather and the ceremony.
What did you think of Barbara and Dylan’s wedding? Would you wear any of these styles for your own special day?
